Who I am

A little more about myself.

I am clearly not trying to hide who I am or how I feel about this world we live in called America. My name is not on my blog, but a little bit of sleuth-work and just about anyone can figure out who just about anybody else is. There are legally licensed websites that, for a fee, will tell you a lot more than anyone really needs to know about someone else (unless you're family).

If I make a statement or take a stand on something, I try to be as knowledgable as possible on the subject. I'm sure there are things I don't know that might affect my stance, but if I don't know them, I don't know them. That's a fact.

Speaking of "facts," I'll tell you about "facts." When I know enough about a subject that I believe that I can form an opinion, I will do so. These opinions are based on everything I know and feel about a subject. There is no such thing as an un-biased opinion. If they weren't biased, they wouldn't be opinions, they'd be facts. To me, a fact is something that is, at least, verifiable in some degree. Some might call it ostensible. I disagree. Whatever. I believe them to be facts. I will do my best to make sure the're true (truth is a whole different concept that takes too long to type in a little blog like mine).

Philosophically, I tend conservative. Not complete, mind you, but a definite tendency. There are a whole bunch of different things mixed in there. Religion, for example. I don't do religion like almost everyone else. I have my own way, and that, my friends, is one of the reasons I love this country. I don't care what your religion is or even if you have one. Please, return the courtesy.

I live in Texas. I choose to. I feel relatively safe where I am. I keep my eyes open, though. I have a family to protect. I fully support the Castle Doctrine, whis is a state law in Texas, so Don't Tread On Me. I will not Tread On You, you have my Word.

Have I ever broken my Word? I must admit that, yes, I have broken my Word. There was a crossroads where keeping my promise would do much more damage than breaking it. It was a moral dilemma. I made a decision, and it was the right one. It still is, but I regret that it came to that. I have learned to live with it, and to be careful where I give my Word.

That's not me-in-a-nutshell, but is a small part of who I am. More later, if you want.

What are we facing?

Do we, as Americans, know what we are facing?

Are any of us aware of what lies ahead for the Land of the Free?

So many believe that brighter days are ahead, that the Lord President, Messiah and Prophet, has a Plan (of which we cannot know, being only humans) that will bring Sunshine and Showers of Gold to all the people of America.

What President Obama plans is the destruction of the American Way. The blurring, melting, blending of the middle and lower classes into one huge mass of people on the Dole. People unable to escape depths of poverty, relying on a shrinking American economy to pay the bills, while completely eroding all avenues of personal ambition or betterment.

Our cities will be sunk in poverty, while the Rich Elite live in the comfort of their estates, protected by political rank or inherited position.
Allow the Administration to continue unobstructed, and the future America faces is bleak.
Rich, or working poor.

There will be no other class.

What will we do ...

What will we do, now that the world is Changing.

Changing?

Yes, Changing (note the capital "C").

President Obama is making good on his promise. Congress is making it happen, and We, the people (note the lower case "p"), are powerless to stop it.

This is the Change, and all we are left with is the Hope.

What is the Hope?

You'll know. You may be experiencing it already. It's that last glimmer you feel before the bottom drops out, and the world finally, fundamentally ... Changes.

Yet, there may be something we can do ... nope, I was wrong ... the people just don't matter anymore.

I haven't met one person, not one person, that feels right about this situation. Even the Democrats I know ( a couple, anyway) aren't real comfortable right now. They're ... not as sure of themselves when they say "You'll see," and laugh a little.

They know they're still lower case d's. They're just the worker bees in the american hive.

Everyone else I know is as apprehensive as I am, or more, because they are on a list somewhere, one with the start-dates of their employment.

I'm on that list, too.

Ouch. Got a little serious there for a second. I can't help it, I'm a little worried.

The "Stimulus" bill is just the tip of the iceberg. It was a test.

A live-fire exercise, if you will.

It was a test to determine if they truly, truly held the keys to the vault. The secondary objective was to gauge the personal power that the President was able to wield in times of crisis. It'll settle down now, for a little while, as america sits and waits for this plan to work.

It gives them the time they need to formulate the real plan. The hostile corporate takeover of the United States of America. And we've been left out-of-the-loop.

As far as I can tell, a large percentage of the american population is against this bill. I know that the voting population of the town where I live is generally, perhaps even overwhelmingly, against it.

Not that it matters, because we didn't get a say.

They decided.

They didn't ask, they didn't give us a chance to look at it, they didn't even let the rest of the congressional population get a decent look at it.

As I sit here, there are about 45 minutes until the Senator from Ohio, Sherrod Brown arrives to cast his vote.

...

Well, how about that. Looks like it's a Law. Welcome to america.

Hope I have a job tomorrow.
